Job summary

Southern Downs Regional Council seeks a skilled engineer to contribute to the sustainable lifecycle management of water and wastewater assets. The role covers catchment management, water sources, treatment and reticulation, while maintaining high customer service standards.

Mandatory: Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualification, White Card, Class C licence, and active or achievable RPEQ. Immunisation against Hep A/B is preferred.

Qualifications

• Legal right to live and work in Australia.
• A Class C licence (or greater) is required.
• White Card (OHS construction induction) or ability to obtain.
• Engineering qualification in Civil, Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines.
• Current RPEQ, or plan to achieve within 12 months.
• Immunisation indicating Hepatitis A&B vaccination or immunity.
• Position Description contains full requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge in project risk, quality and commissioning management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sustainable lifecycle management of water and wastewater infrastructure assets.
• Cover catchment management, water sources (dams/creeks), water treatment and distribution.
• Work to meet council customer service standards.
• Pay rate is aligned with enterprise agreement and relevant award.
