Job summary

Tweed Shire Council seeks a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater design across Tweed Heads. You will guide planning, design and delivery of essential infrastructure, ensuring sustainable, compliant solutions for a growing community.

Qualifications

A qualified Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering and extensive experience in water and wastewater engineering.
Proven expertise in designing, delivering and managing water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects.
Experience in local government or similar environments.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding technical staff and project teams.
Knowledge of NSW water and sewerage legislation, standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater projects across Tweed Shire.
Provide specialist hydraulic, water supply and sewerage system design expertise.
Act as Council's principal technical advisor on complex water and wastewater matters.
Coordinate internal teams, consultants and stakeholders through planning, approvals and design phases.
Represent Council as an expert witness and advise on policy, standards and compliance.
