Job summary

Lismore City Council is seeking a Manager Engineering (Water) to lead strategic planning, design and delivery of water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure. You will oversee capital projects, set technical standards, and ensure safe, sustainable services for the community.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering, chartered status or eligibility, extensive water sector experience, and strong knowledge of relevant standards. NSW licence is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or eligibility with Engineers Australia, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in water, sewerage and stormwater planning and operations.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes.
• Technical proficiency for diverse water infrastructure.
• NSW Class C Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams in Strategy, Planning & Investigation, and Capital Delivery.
• Develop infrastructure strategies for continued service provision to a growing community.
• Oversee planning, design and delivery of capital investment projects for water, sewerage and stormwater.
• Provide technical leadership for long-term planning and prudent capital investment.
• Manage budgets, procurement, contracts and contractor performance for water assets.
• Guide engineering input into development applications and subdivision approvals.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and customer experience.
