Job summary

WEM Water, part of the WEM Civil Group, seeks an experienced Project Engineer with a mechanical background to deliver water and sewer infrastructure from planning through to commissioning in NSW. You will work with project and site teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include reviewing drawings, supporting pipework and equipment installations, coordinating with subcontractors and authorities, and maintaining testing and commissioning records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supporting water, wastewater or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with installation, testing and commissioning of pipework and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to coordinate contractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Understanding of contract admin, budgeting and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to planning, installation, testing and commissioning of water and sewer systems.
• Review drawings and specs to identify requirements, constructability and risks.
• Provide technical support for pipework, pumps, valves and equipment.
• Review equipment selections for spec compliance and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and handover documentation.
• Support project budgets, forecasts, variations and RFIs.
