Job summary

Aecom Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced drainage engineer to deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans and hydraulic assessments for major infrastructure projects in Queensland.

You will work with Civil3D, 12D and hydraulic tools, mentoring engineers and engaging with clients and regulators to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes. Hybrid work options are available, with flexible start times and leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, 12D, and hydraulic modelling tools.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of Australian standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage designs, stormwater management plans, and hydraulic assessments for councils and major infrastructure projects.
• Provide input into hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using programs such as Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS, RORB, XP-Rafts and WBNM.
• Develop practical and innovative solutions to drainage, flooding, and water quality challenges.
• Produce high-quality technical and non-technical reports.
• Mentor engineers and support project delivery with QA.
• Engage with regulators and clients to provide trusted technical advice and win work.
• Ensure alignment with Australian standards and guidelines.
