Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead drainage and flood engineering projects from our Rockhampton/Mackay offices. You will shape design approaches, solve hydraulic and hydrological challenges, and deliver high-quality outcomes for major infrastructure and development clients in an Australian context.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years drainage/flood modelling experience.
• RPEQ or eligibility to apply.
• Experience planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks, or hydrologic modelling and/or assessments.
• Strong software skills: Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, URBS and XP-Rafts or similar hydrologic tools; QGIS/ArcGIS.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.
• Proven technical leadership, design review and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with clients.
• Commercial awareness and project delivery understanding.

Responsibilities

• Shape design approaches and solve drainage, hydraulic and hydrological challenges.
• Deliver drainage designs using 12D and develop stormwater management plans and hydraulic models.
