Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with a background in drainage and/or flood modelling to support major infrastructure projects. You will deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans, and hydraulic analyses across diverse sectors, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Based in Rockhampton or Mackay with hybrid work options, you will ensure compliance with Australian standards and contribute to winning work while engaging with clients and regulators
Qualifications
- Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling industry experience (5–15+ years).
- Experience planning hydraulic assessments and design of stormwater networks or modelling.
- Proficient in Civil3D, 12D, and hydraulic modelling tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver drainage designs, stormwater management plans, and hydraulic assessments for major projects.
- Provide input into hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using modelling tools.
- Mentor engineers and support project delivery and client engagement.
- Ensure work aligns with Australian standards and project requirements.
- Lead technical review and contribute to quality assurance.
