Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to deliver drainage and flood engineering projects across major infrastructure and development sectors in Australia. You’ll provide technical inputs, shape design approaches, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with standards.
You’ll use Civil3D/12D, TUFLOW and GIS tools to deliver stormwater management plans and hydraulic models, working in a hybrid setup with potential relocation support.
Qualifications
- Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling industry experience (circa 5-15 years+)
- RPEQ or ability to apply for RPEQ preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks, or modelling/assessments.
- Strong software proficiency in Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS and XP-Rafts or similar tools, QGIS/ArcGIS.
Responsibilities
- Technical delivery of drainage designs and stormwater plans for major projects.
- Provide input into hydrologic/hydraulic analysis using Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, URBS, XP-Rafts and GIS tools.
- Develop practical solutions to drainage, flooding and water quality challenges.
- Produce high-quality technical and non-technical reports.
- Mentor engineers and support project teams with quality assurance.
