Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for drainage and flood modelling to support major infrastructure projects in Australia. You will lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers and engage with clients across multiple sectors, including local councils.

Flexible start/finish times and hybrid work options are available, with relocation support to Rockhampton or Mackay as needed. RPEQ where possible and responsive to project needs.

Qualifications

• Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling industry experience (5–15+ years).
• RPEQ or ability to apply for RPEQ preferred.
• Demonstrated planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater networks.
• Experience with hydrologic modelling and related assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans and hydraulic assessments for major projects.
• Provide input into hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using Civil3D, 12D and related tools.
• Develop practical solutions to drainage, flooding and water quality challenges.
• Produce high-quality written reports and technical documents.
• Guide project teams with technical leadership, reviews and mentoring.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to advise and win work.
• Ensure alignment with Australian standards and guidelines.
