Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with a strong background in drainage and flood modelling to work on major infrastructure projects from our Rockhampton or Mackay offices. You’ll deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans and hydraulic modelling while mentoring engineers and supporting business development.
The role requires experience across heavy infrastructure and complex water management challenges.
Qualifications
- Proven drainage/flood modelling experience (circa 5–15 years+)
- Demonstrated planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks
- Experience with hydrologic modelling and hydraulic analysis using industry tools
Responsibilities
- Technical delivery of drainage designs and hydraulic assessments for major projects
- Provide input into hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW and related tools
- Develop practical solutions to drainage, flooding and water quality challenges
- Produce high quality technical and non-technical reports
- Mentor engineers and support project teams
- Engage with clients and regulators to provide trusted technical advice
