Job summary

Yo-Chi is opening a new venue in Toowoomba and seeks an exceptional Venue Manager to lead the launch. Shape culture from day one, build a high-performing team, and drive commercial results for a fast-growing hospitality brand with nationwide expansion.

You’ll lead from the front, recruit and develop staff, ensure outstanding guest experiences, and manage operations and standards with the support of the Venue General Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within hospitality, retail, or QSR environments.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high performing teams.
• Strong passion for people leadership and creating great team cultures.
• Strong understanding of venue performance, including labour management, COGS, and sales.
• Availability across a Monday to Sunday rotating roster, including day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front and deliver an exceptional guest experience every shift.
• Recruit, onboard, coach and inspire a team that brings the Chi every day.
• Create an incredible culture by building a connected, engaged team.
• Drive venue performance with the GM to hit sales, labour, and COGS targets.
• Own the shift and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Champion product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Grow leadership alongside the Venue GM to strengthen commercial and people leadership.
• Lead with accountability and continually raise the bar.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead from the front– set the standard for your team and deliver an exceptional guest experience every shift.
• Build and develop your team – recruit, onboard, coach and inspire a team that brings the Chi every day.
• Create an incredible culture – build a connected, engaged team where people enjoy coming to work and can grow.
• Drive venue performance– work alongside your Venue General Manager to achieve sales, labour, COGS and other commercial targets.
• Own the shift– take the lead on day-to-day venue operations and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Champion exceptional standards – maintain outstanding product quality, food safety, cleanliness, presentation and guest experience.
• Grow your leadership – work closely with your Venue General Manager to strengthen your commercial, operational and people leadership skills.
• Lead with accountability – take ownership, solve problems and continually look for ways to raise the bar.

What we’re looking for

• Proven leadership experience within hospitality, retail, or QSR environments.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high performing teams.
• A genuine passion for people leadership and creating great team cultures.
• Strong understanding of venue performance, including labour management, COGS, and sales.
• Confidence managing day-to-day operations, stock, administration and compliance.
• A natural people leader who leads from the front and brings energy to every shift.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
• Proactive, resilient, and always looking for ways to improve.
• Available across a Monday to Sunday rotating roster, including a mix of day and night shifts.
• Ambitious to grow and develop your career within hospitality.
