Job summary

Yo-Chi Frozen Yogurt is expanding its Sydney venue footprint and seeking an Area Manager to lead, coach and develop General Managers across multiple sites. You will foster a culture of accountability, energy, and care while hands-on supporting teams on the floor.

You will balance operational execution with people development, focusing on sales, labour management, and guest experience to sustain Yo-Chi's growth across Australia.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience as an Area Manager within hospitality or retail.
• Strong coaching and people leadership capabilities.
• Commercially minded with experience managing labour, cost controls and KPIs.
• Hands-on and highly engaged, lead from the floor.
• Balance operational execution with long-term team development.
• Passionate about building culture and lifting standards.

• Lead, coach and develop Venue General Managers and teams across multiple Sydney venues.

• Identify opportunities to improve performance, consistency and team capability.
• Own and influence commercial outcomes including sales, labour, COGS and profitability.
• Support leaders through coaching, performance conversations and development planning.
• Ensure Yo-Chi brand standards are consistently executed as the business grows.
• Partner with Support Office to back local marketing initiatives and community engagement.
• Maintain compliance, food safety and workplace safety standards across venues.
• Create an environment where teams feel motivated, supported and connected to the brand.

Our Area Managers are hands on, people first leaders who create impact through coaching, connection and operational excellence. With more venues on the horizon, we're expanding our leadership team to support the next stage of growth across Sydney.

You'll play a key role in building high performing teams, creating consistency at scale, and developing leaders who will help shape the future of Yo-Chi as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach and develop Venue General Managers and their teams across multiple Sydney venues.

• Stay highly visible and hands on within venues, supporting teams in real time and leading from the floor.
• Drive operational excellence across labour, service standards, product quality, cleanliness and guest experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, consistency and team capability across venues.
• Own and influence key commercial outcomes including sales, labour, COGS, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Support leaders through coaching, performance conversations, development planning and succession pathways.
• Ensure Yo-Chi brand standards are consistently executed as the business continues to scale.
• Partner with Support Office teams to support local marketing initiatives, activations and community engagement.
• Maintain a strong focus on compliance, food safety and workplace safety standards across all venues.
• Create an environment where teams feel motivated, supported and genuinely connected to the brand.

About You

• 4+ years' experience as an Area Manager within hospitality or retail.
• A passionate people leader who knows how to coach, motivate and develop high performing teams.
• Commercially minded with experience managing labour, cost control, operational KPIs and venue performance.
• Hands on and highly engaged, you love being in venues and leading from the front.
• Able to balance operational execution with people leadership and long term team development.
• Passionate about building culture, lifting standards and developing future leaders.
