Job summary

Rugby World Cup Limited is seeking a Cluster Venue Logistics Manager based in Sydney CBD, Australia, to lead the planning, readiness and delivery of logistics operations across multiple tournament venues for Rugby World Cup 2027.

You will oversee FF&E, venue storage, and escalation management, coordinating with venue operators, 3PLs, and internal teams to ensure a world-class event delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in venue operations, logistics, or large-scale service delivery environments.
• Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills to coordinate complex operational plans.
• Proven ability to build relationships with suppliers, venue operators, contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Previous people leadership experience to lead and develop paid staff and volunteers.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to provide clear operational updates.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with flexibility to travel and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, readiness and delivery of venue logistics across a cluster of Rugby World Cup 2027 venues.
• Develop venue-specific logistics plans including FF&E bump-in/out and delivery schedules.
• Manage venue storage solutions and shared logistics resources for successful event delivery.
• Coach and support Venue Logistics Managers to ensure consistency across venues.
• Oversee recruitment, training, deployment and operation of venue-based logistics crews with 3PL.
• Act as liaison for FF&E suppliers and venue operators, monitoring performance against obligations.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and lead escalations during tournament operations.
