Job summary

Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is delivering the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. RWCA seeks a highly organised Overlay Project Lead based in Sydney CBD to coordinate temporary infrastructure across venues and team bases, from design to decommissioning, reporting to the Senior Overlay Manager.

You will work with venues, consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring operational readiness and accurate site plans while managing timelines and budgets for a fixed-term contract February 2027 to

Qualifications

Two years minimum experience in event operations, venue overlay, or infrastructure projects.
Experience delivering venue or infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, site plans and project schedules with accuracy.
Strong project coordination, organisation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate planning and delivery of overlay and temporary infrastructure across assigned venues.
Lead site inspections, scoping and operational readiness reviews.
Work with overlay managing contractor, venues and suppliers on design and delivery.
Review and maintain venue layouts, operational drawings and technical plans.
Monitor scope, schedules, budgets, risks and supplier deliverables.
Manage project reporting, action tracking and travel logistics.
