Job summary

Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an organised, community-focused Community Venues Coordinator to join our Community and Cultural Services team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with residents, businesses and community organisations, coordinating Council’s venues and helping bring local events, activities and community programs to life.

• Experience in venue coordination or related community services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple bookings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience using booking systems and recording financial details.

Responsibilities

• Manage venue bookings, hire documentation, fees, bonds, access and handovers.
• Build relationships with community groups, businesses and event organisers.
• Coordinate venue setup, pack-down and cleaning with hirers and staff.
• Conduct venue inspections and address maintenance and safety issues.
• Maintain equipment inventories and coordinate repairs and replacements.
• Maintain financial records and reports on venue utilisation.
• Improve booking processes and customer service for efficient operations.
