Job summary

Greatland Resources Limited invites applications for an Underground Manager to lead Havieron underground mining operations. You will oversee safety, planning, and execution to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with regulations and company objectives.

You will manage and develop teams, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with site departments to optimise underground performance across the Havieron project near Telfer, WA.

Qualifications

• First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate WA required.
• SSE ticket (occasional coverage) required.
• Strong underground planning and operational delivery background.
• Technical capability across orebody widths and orientations.
• Scheduling, drill and blast, mine ventilation, pastefill, infrastructure and project execution skills.
• Advanced planning/scheduling software skills.
• Excellent cross-functional communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with the Safety Management System and statutory requirements.
• Provide safe, efficient and cost-effective operational control of underground mining activities.
• Drive underground planning and execution to achieve quarterly and annual production targets.
• Lead, develop and mentor operational and technical teams to build capability and performance.
• Ensure effective risk management, incident investigation and timely close-out of corrective actions.
• Monitor and report underground operational performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure work is delivered safely and to plan.
• Work with the mine project team and review plans to ensure plans are operationally sound, executable and consider the future requirements of the underground mine
• Collaborate with other departments to support site objectives and infrastructure and project delivery.
• Identify and establish systems to run Havieron as a best in class underground mine.
