Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited in Western Australia seeks an experienced Alternate Underground Manager to lead underground and surface projects at the Cue operations, driving safety, performance, and culture.

You will manage mining planning, mentor engineers, approve CERs and end-of-month accruals, and ensure statutory compliance while supporting the company’s FY27 objectives in a multi-method mine environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mining engineering with WA First Class is required.
• Mine Manager’s Certificate is required.
• First Aid certificate is required.
• Experience in underground mine planning and production.

Responsibilities

• Implement and reinforce the POSP.
• Align 13-week plans with targets and budgets.
• Review underground planning docs (MIs, LENs, SENs, DAFs, MDAFs).
• Provide leadership and coaching to underground engineers.
• Manage surface and underground projects, incl. contractor oversight.
• Approve end-of-month accruals and contribute to budgeting.
• Act as the Registered Manager when required.
• Prepare, review and approve CERs.
• Review performance and present mining reports weekly/monthly.
• Ensure statutory compliance as Alternate Underground Manager.
