Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.
PNG Metalliferous Mine Manager's CoC or eligible to obtain one.
Valid driver's license.
Minimum 10 years underground mining experience, with 5 years in senior leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for underground mining operations and production.
Collaborate with Technical Services and Geology to align mine plans with targets.
Champion safety and ensure compliance with mining legislation and safety standards.
Manage budgets, costs, and capex planning.
Oversee contractor performance and safety requirements.
Lead and develop Mining Superintendents, Shift Bosses, and engineers.
Monitor production, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
Foster collaboration across mine operations and support functions.
