Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead WHS across our Northern Operations, with a focus on underground mining safety, risk controls, and incident investigations. You will partner with site leaders to drive safety performance and strengthen the safety culture.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a hands-on approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and training delivery. WA-based, full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health & Safety role within an underground mining environment.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles and mining safety systems.
• Experience participating in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and genuine commitment to creating safer workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical WHS leadership, support and advice to operational teams and site leaders.
• Partner with supervisors and crews to identify hazards and implement effective risk controls.
• Lead and support incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance activities.
• Assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of site safety management systems.
• Support emergency response, injury management and statutory compliance requirements.
• Analyse safety trends and contribute to initiatives that improve site safety performance.
• Coach and mentor leaders and employees to strengthen safety capability across the operation.
• Support training and competency processes, including inductions, safety training activities, verification of competency programs and maintenance of training records.
