Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking an Underground Manager to lead all aspects of underground operations on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth. You will drive safety, production and cost targets while coordinating with Technical Services and Underground Maintenance to align with mine plans and long-term company growth.

The role requires leadership experience in underground hard rock mining, relevant certificates, and the ability to obtain a Police Clearance.

Qualifications

• WA Underground First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency required.
• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• WA Underground Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency required.
• Current and unrestricted WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Strong leadership experience in underground hard rock mining operations.
• Remnant underground mining experience will be held in high regard.
• Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
• Knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
• Ability to prepare Budgets, Forecasts and Reports and demonstrate analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of underground operations to meet safety, production and cost targets.
• Ensure alignment of mining, maintenance and planning with short, medium and long-term requirements.
• Collaborate with Technical Services to deliver mine plans, budgets, forecasts and schedules.
• Oversee development, production and stopping to maximise recovery and reduce dilution.
• Provide operational leadership across planning, ventilation, surveys, geotechnical and maintenance functions.
