Job summary

Uniting Communities invites applications for a casual intake role supporting individuals facing homelessness. You will conduct trauma-informed assessments, coordinate referrals to external services, and advocate for clients to access essential supports.

The role requires experience in community services, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work across a 24/7 operation with varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, overnights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in community services sector preferred.
• Ability to enter and manage client data accurately.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed intake and assessment for clients presenting and needing support.
• Refer clients to homelessness services and external agencies.
• Advocate for clients when needed to support access to services.
• Assist clients in engaging with essential services.
• Facilitate access to crisis shelter accommodations.
