Junction Support Services in Bairnsdale is seeking a Casual Residential Care Youth Worker to support young people in a trauma-informed, stable home environment. The role involves daily living tasks, transport, medication management, and collaboration with case managers, therapists, teachers and families.

Qualificações

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent).
• Experience working with young people or strong motivation to learn.
• Residential Out-of-Home Care Youth Work experience desirable.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence, Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate.
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
• Commitment to ongoing training and trauma-informed practice.
• International Police Check if lived outside Australia in last 10 years.
• Complete mandatory upskilling units as required by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.

Responsabilidades

• Run the household: cook meals, keep a clean and welcoming home, stock supplies, and manage day-to-day living.
• Transport young people to appointments and activities, administer and document medication.
• Provide therapeutic behaviour management and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Meet DFFH standards, maintain accurate case notes, and complete incident reporting and other administration.
• Engage with the trauma-informed practice approach and remain calm and regulated in challenging moments.
