Job summary

Youturn in Queensland is seeking a Case Officer to support vulnerable families within a trauma-informed, client-centred framework. You’ll assess needs, develop tailored case plans and coordinate services with partners to achieve positive outcomes.

This is a full-time fixed-term role until 20 October 2027, with potential extension. A Diploma or Bachelor in a related field and strong assessment and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in a relevant field with industry experience.
• Experience in case management, family services or housing.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and client-centred practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored case plans reflecting client goals.
• Build therapeutic relationships and engage clients in decision-making.
• Deliver trauma-informed interventions to improve life skills and parenting capacity.
• Support families to create safe, nurturing environments for children.
• Monitor and adapt plans to progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with Support Workers, Child Safety and community services.
• Advocate for clients and navigate complex service systems.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
