Job summary

Accoras is recruiting a Family Support Practitioner to support children and families in South East Queensland. This full-time fixed-term role concentrates on trauma-informed, person-centred care to increase wellbeing, safety and belonging for children under 18.

Based from Upper Mount Gravatt, the role involves outreach within the South Brisbane region, with travel reimbursed. Experience in case management and knowledge of DFV are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary degree qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology.
• Two years relevant experience in case management or therapeutic role.
• Strong knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence and CALD/First Nations contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, child- and family-centred support up to age 18.
• Conduct comprehensive holistic needs assessments.
• Collaborate with the DFV Practitioner and other service providers.
• Deliver evidence-based, person-centred, strengths-based interventions.
