Job summary

dnata at Sydney International Airport is seeking a Training Specialist - Passenger Services to provide ongoing training support on an adhoc and hybrid basis. You will work with the National Training team and local Management to organise training that aligns with business and client airline requirements.

You will facilitate training, manage documentation, and mentor colleagues to meet company standards, while assisting with data entry and document control across ports as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong computer literacy and working knowledge of training management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework and VET/RTO quality frameworks.
• Experience or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As the Training Specialist - Passenger Services, you are responsible for providing ongoing training support on an adhoc and hybrid basis. Working closely with the National Training team and local Management and Service Delivery Supervisor Team, this role will ensure that training is facilitated and organised as per business and client airline requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will provide an opportunity for the successful applicant to gain and apply knowledge, skills and experience to perform the following duties:

• Train colleagues in an efficient and cost-effective way;
• Liaise with specialist and clients to ensure relevant training and administration resources as used and updated where required;
• Assist the training team to report on training compliance, expiries and recurrence requirements;
• Assist the training team to complete sign-off processes and ensure all applicable team members meet company standards;
• Provide feedback, mentoring and support to buddy’s and SME’s
• Accountable person for completing paperwork and entering into VETrack
• Assist with training document control and document review
• Assist other ports with data entry, as required.
• Assist training department with any ad hoc duties

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Currently or willing to be signed off on numerous Passenger Services Functions including: PAX Assist, Check-in and Delta/Gate Supervisor
• High level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of training management systems.
• Well-developed communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
• Sound understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework and knowledge of all aspects of VET and RTO quality frameworks;
• Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.
