Job summary

dnata is recruiting for Ramp and Baggage Agents on a permanent part-time basis (guaranteed 24 hours per week) at Sydney International Airport. These roles are essential to airport operations and involve moving equipment, marshalling aircraft, and baggage management.

Successful candidates will need Australian/NZ citizenship or permanent residency, pass pre-employment medical, lift 32kg, pass AFP security check, hold a valid driver's license, and have good communication and customer service

Qualifications

• Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment medical test
• Able to lift 32kg
• Willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police security check
• Valid driver’s license
• Available to work on a rotating roster
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic–intermediate computer skills

Responsibilities

• Move Ground Services Equipment e.g. aircraft stairs, mobile conveyors, tugs, belt loaders
• Marshalling of arriving aircraft
• Comply with safety standards and operating procedures
• Push back and towing of aircraft using diverse tractors
• Hands-on baggage handling
• Baggage management

A few of the key responsibilities for a Ramp and Baggage Agent are:

• The movement of Ground Services Equipment e.g. aircraft stairs, mobile conveyors, tugs, belt loaders etc
• Marshalling of arriving aircraft in accordance
• Comply with safety standards and operating procedures
• The safe and timely Aircraft push back and towing activities, driving and operating diverse Pushback tractors both conventional and Tow-bar-less types
• Hands on capacity handling a range of duties
• Baggage management

Working for dnata at the airport there are a few must haves for you to be successful:

• You need to have Australian / New Zealand citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
• You must be willing to undertake a Pre-employment medical test and be able to lift 32kg
• You must be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Security check
• You will need a valid driver’s license
• Basic – Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent communication skills – Verbal and Written
• High level of customer service skills
• Available to work on a rotating roster
