Job summary

dnata Sydney International Airport is seeking a Training Specialist - Passenger Services on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support the Learning & Development team, delivering training in a hybrid model and ensuring airline requirements are met.

Responsibilities include training colleagues, coordinating with specialists and clients, tracking compliance in VETrack, and assisting with document control and ad hoc duties.

Qualifications

• Currently or willing to be signed off on numerous Passenger Services Functions including: PAX Assist, Check-in and Delta/Gate Supervisor.
• High level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of training management systems.
• Sound understanding of Australian Quality Training Framework and knowledge of all aspects of VET and RTO quality frameworks.
• Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.

• Assist the training team to report on training compliance, expiries and recurrence requirements.

• Accountable person for completing paperwork and entering into VETrack
• Assist with training document control and document review
• Assist other ports with data entry, as required.
• Assist training department with any ad hoc duties

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Join dnata as a Training Specialist supporting our Learning & Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

As the Training Specialist - Passenger Services, you are responsible for providing ongoing training support on an adhoc and hybrid basis. Working closely with the National Training team and local Management and Service Delivery Supervisor Team, this role will ensure that training is facilitated and organised as per business and client airline requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will provide an opportunity for the successful applicant to gain and apply knowledge, skills and experience to perform the following duties:

• Train colleagues in an efficient and cost-effective way;

• Well-developed communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
• Sound understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework and knowledge of all aspects of VET and RTO quality frameworks;
• Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.
