Job summary

A leading ground services company at Melbourne Airport is seeking motivated individuals for part-time Ramp and Baggage Agent positions. Responsibilities include loading and unloading cargo, managing baggage, and assisting in aircraft push back. Qualifications

• Mandatory full Victorian Driver’s License required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload ULDs and aircraft cargo.
• Manage baggage by lifting weights of up to 32kg.
• Assist with safe aircraft push back and towing activities.
• Assist with movement of Ground Services Equipment, e.g., stairs, tugs, conveyors.
• Assist with aircraft push back and towing, using diverse tractors.
• Follow shift directions to meet on-time departures.
• Hands-on capacity handling a range of duties.

We are currently recruiting for Part-Time Ramp and Baggage Agents.

Key responsibilities for a Ramp and Baggage Agent:

• Loading and unloading of ULD’s
• Loading and unloading aircraft Cargo
• Baggage management- lifting baggage with a maximum weight of 32kg per piece
• Assisting with the movement of Ground Services Equipment e.g. aircraft stairs, mobile conveyors, tugs, belt loaders etc;
• Assist with safe and timely Aircraft push back and towing activities, driving and operating diverse Pushback tractors both conventional and Tow-bar-less types
• Follow direction during shift to achieve required timely aircraft scheduled departures
• Hands on capacity handling a range of duties

To be successful you will:

• Be available for shift-work across a 24/7 roster including mornings, evenings and weekends
• Have a full Victorian Driver’s License (mandatory)
• Willing to complete a full pre-employment medical/Drug and Alcohol testing along with a satisfactory security clearance (ASIC)
