Job summary

Transurban Brisbane seeks a Network Operator to monitor traffic through ITS, CCTV and road management platforms. You will coordinate with emergency services, field crews and internal teams to manage incidents and minimize disruption.

You will monitor tunnel environments, maintain safety-critical plant systems, and draft incident management plans while providing timely updates to stakeholders and the public.

Qualifications

• Experience in a monitoring centre, control room, or operational environment.
• Exposure to traffic control, emergency response, or incident management preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate and OH&S Induction White Card are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate ITS systems (CCTV, AID, road management platforms) to maintain safe traffic flow.
• Coordinate with emergency services, field crews and internal teams during incidents.
• Develop and implement traffic management and incident response plans.
• Provide real-time updates to stakeholders, media and the public via digital platforms and variable message signs.
• Monitor tunnel environmental systems and critical plant equipment to maintain safety.
