Job summary

Transurban Group is seeking a Network Operator for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Brisbane. You will monitor traffic flows using ITS, CCTV, and road management platforms and coordinate with emergency services to manage incidents.

The role requires a proactive, calm approach, ability to work a 24/7 shift roster, and experience in a monitoring centre or traffic control environment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a monitoring centre, control room, or operational environment.
• Experience with traffic management systems or ITS platforms.
• Ability to write clear reports and maintain incident records.

Responsibilities

• Operate ITS including CCTV and road management platforms to ensure safe traffic flow.
• Coordinate with emergency services, field crews and internal teams during incidents.
• Develop incident management and traffic management plans to minimise disruption and maintain safety.
• Monitor tunnel environmental systems and key plant systems to maintain safe operations.
• Provide real-time updates to stakeholders and media as required.
• Work across multiple assets to meet business requirements.
