Job summary

Transurban is seeking a Network Operator (Traffic Control) to monitor busy control rooms, redirect traffic flow and coordinate response teams to keep roads safe. You'll work with ITS systems, CCTV and road management platforms, providing real-time updates and insights during incidents.

The role suits a curious, analytical professional with experience in monitoring centres or control rooms, capable of working across shifts, and contributing to process improvements and safer city roads.

Qualifications

• Experience in a monitoring centre or control room.
• Analytical and computer-literate, with interest in new technology.
• Able to stay calm and professional during challenging incidents.
• Experience writing reports and providing timely updates.

Responsibilities

• Operate ITS, including CCTV, AID and road management platforms, to ensure safe traffic flow.
• Coordinate with emergency services, field crews and internal teams during incidents.
• Develop and implement traffic management plans to minimise disruption.
• Provide accurate real-time updates to stakeholders, media and the public.
• Understand traffic management policies, practices and operational systems.
• Work across multiple assets as required to meet business needs.
