Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Nerang QLD is seeking a Technical Officer (ITS) to provide specialist technical support for ITS infrastructure installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning. You will work with electricians and field crews to ensure assets are delivered safely and to departmental standards.

Your role involves advising on planning, design, construction, testing and commissioning of ITS applications and traffic management systems, and supporting project delivery

Qualifications

• Strong electrical/ITS technical knowledge required.
• Ability to work safely within standards and legislation.
• Clear communication and teamwork to support field operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test ITS equipment and systems in line with specifications.
• Provide technical advice for planning, design, testing and commissioning of ITS applications.
• Support ITS project delivery with focus on safety, quality and stakeholder expectations.
• Assist with integration of new transport technologies to improve network operations.
• Lead and support field crews and coordinate with stakeholders.
