Job summary

National Tiles in Alexandria is seeking a Trade Manager to lead the trade team, drive sales and margins, and coach staff across store and back‑of‑house operations.

This full‑time role requires 40 hours per week with a flexible roster. National Tiles Academy training, company car, weekly pay and exclusive staff discounts are included as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the trade team to achieve sales, margin and growth targets.

• Provide store-wide leadership support, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Grow the Trade+ customer base and drive performance across key metrics.
• Oversee safe and efficient operations across sales, warehouse and logistics.
• Ensure merchandising, banking, POS, credit, transport and warehousing compliance.
• Model safe behaviours and oversee forklift use while reporting hazards.

About The Role

Join National Tiles as a Trade Manager based at our Alexandria store, where you will play a key leadership role in driving sales, coaching the team and ensuring operational excellence across trade and back-of-house functions.

This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week with a flexible roster

Salary: $75- 85k (based on experience) + Super!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the trade team to achieve sales, margin and growth targets
• Lead by example to foster a customer-obsessed culture and deliver meaningful store experiences that reflects the highest industry standards
• Support the store manager by providing store-wide leadership support, fostering accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement
• Drive performance across key business metrics and grow the Trade+ customer base
• Oversee efficient, safe operations across sales, warehouse and logistics
• Ensure compliance in merchandising, banking, POS, credit, transport and warehousing
• Champion a strong safety culture by modelling safe behaviours, overseeing forklift use and reporting hazards promptly

About You

• A proven leader with the ability to influence and experience meeting targets and KPIs
• Results-driven, commercially astute and motivated about achieving business goals
• Strong communicator who leads by example and builds high-performance cultures
• Quick to adapt, multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Safety-focused with knowledge of OHS standards, manual handling and heavy equipment compliance
• Physically capable of handling heavy items (in excess of 25kg) with safe lifting techniques
• Hold a forklift licence or willing to obtain one
