Job summary

The Trade Assistant role is based in Moorebank and will involve supporting busy workshop activities, assisting with repairs, preparation and maintenance.

You’ll be hands-on, reliable and comfortable with hand and power tools, and able to work independently or in a team. Ongoing work with potential for permanent employment in a reputable company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on workshop experience preferred.
• Welding experience is highly regarded.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• LF Forklift Licence desirable.
• Reliable and committed to ongoing work.

Responsibilities

• Welding and basic repairs.
• Using grinders, sanders, pressure washers and other power tools.
• Preparing and painting metal surfaces.
• Decal removal and replacement.
• General labouring and manual handling.
• Cleaning and maintaining the workshop.
• Assisting tradespeople with repairs and maintenance.
• Forklift operation when required.

About the role:

You will be working within a busy workshop environment, assisting with general repairs, preparation and maintenance.

The role will suit someone who is hands-on, reliable and confident using hand and power tools. You will need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to assist across different duties as required.

• Welding and basic repairs
