Job summary

David Hill Industrial Group seeks a dedicated Trades Assistant to join our team at the Toukley office and Morisset warehouse. You will support experienced tradespeople in installing and repairing racking systems, and you may learn drawing software for project planning.

Ideal candidates hold a trade certificate or have proven Trades Assistant experience, are physically fit for manual labor, and reside on the NSW Central Coast.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or relevant experience as Trades Assistant preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to learn drawing software or related tools.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
• Computer literate and able to learn new software programs.
• Reside within Central Coast NSW or Morriset Council areas for easier commute.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle due to limited public transport.
• Experience in spray painting, welding, or workshop environments is a plus.

The successful candidate will assist in various tasks related to the installation and repair of racking systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Working alongside experienced tradespeople to support project execution.
• Utilizing drawing software applications for project planning and execution (desirable).
• Demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to learning.
• Performing manual tasks including laboring, with a focus on accuracy and safety.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Requirements

• Have a trade certificate or relevant experience as a Trades Assistant Preferred but not essential.
• Possess experience using drawing software applications or the willingness to learn.
• Be physically fit and willing to undertake manual labor.
• Be computer literate and capable of learning new software programs.
• Demonstrate honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Reside within the Central Coast or Morriset Council areas of NSW.
• Hold a valid driver's license and have access to your own vehicle due as there is no close public transport.
• Additional favorable considerations include experience in spray painting, welding, workshop environments, and possessing a Truck MR and or Forklift license.
