Job summary

Tobacco Licensing Victoria (TLV) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a learning and capability consultant (tobacco) to design and deliver practical training for staff who regulate tobacco sales in Victoria.

You will create courses using online tools, videos and role-plays, onboard new staff, and coordinate with external providers. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desired, and a current Victorian driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is highly desired.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
• Qualifications or experience in education, human resources or training and development are desirable.
• Experience creating learning programs and onboarding for a business or initiative.
• Understanding how adults learn and how to design, plan and deliver training.
• Experience using online learning tools and at least one learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver clear, practical training, including onboarding for new staff.
• Work with the team to find learning needs and create useful training materials.
• Design engaging courses using online tools, videos, role-plays and other activities.
• Coordinate training with external providers and ensure it meets staff needs.
• Review course results, test staff learning and improve training materials and delivery.
