Talent Matters Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a commercially driven Area Manager to lead field sales across the North and West Victoria territory, including Shepparton, Swan Hill, Deniliquin, Horsham and Warrnambool. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in field sales, territory management or account management, ideally within sporting goods, FMCG or consumer products.
• Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills for large territories.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong relationships with existing retail and wholesale accounts across the territory.
• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities to grow sales and market share.
• Achieve sales targets across product categories and distribution channels.
• Plan and manage a regular customer call cycle to maximise territory coverage and opportunities.
• Deliver product training and effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and account development through to ongoing relationship management.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity reports and forecasts.
• Represent the business at relevant trade shows, conferences and industry events as required.
