Job summary

Pacific Optics Pty Ltd is seeking a driven Territory Sales Manager to support our field sales team and manage Petrol & Convenience customers across Melbourne and surrounding areas, with some regional travel. You’ll be based from our warehouse in Tullamarine and drive growth through strategic planning and strong retailer relationships.

You will train staff on market-leading brands, visit stores, and work to hit sales targets while using CRM tools and MS Office to track progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in territory or field sales, preferably FMCG.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and retailers.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Able to work independently and manage time in a remote/field setting.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools.
• Must hold a valid Full Driver’s License.
• Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales KPI’s and drive growth across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Provide training to Petrol & Convenience staff on brand offerings.
• Execute strategic sales plan to achieve targets within the territory.
• Conduct face-to-face store visits to understand needs, present products and drive in-store outcomes.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to support our field sales team managing our Petrol and Convenience customers across Melbourne and surrounding areas including some regional areas travelling may be required.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within your assigned territory, based out of our warehouse in Tullamarine.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering to sales KPI’s
• Provide training to Petrol & Convenience staff on our market leading brands
• Execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory
• Conduct face to face store visits with retailers to understand their needs, present product offerings and execute outcomes instore
• Continuously monitor competitor activities and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth
• Identify and prospect new customers, build strong relationships, and convert leads into sales opportunities.

Travel Requirements

• You will be responsible for visiting customers, prospects, and other stakeholders to build relationships and drive sales growth.
• You will be expected to plan and manage your territory efficiently to maximize productivity, meet sales targets and work autonomously.

What will make you successful?

• Minimum 2 years sales experience in territory sales or field sales ideally in FMCG.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Outgoing, approachable, and passionate about sales, as you manage the business relationships.
• Strong excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and familiar with CRM tools.
• This position requires a valid Full Driver’s License
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
