Job summary

RDO Equipment, based in Sydney, seeks an Area Manager – Construction to build strong customer relationships and grow market share while delivering tailored Vermeer equipment solutions across the territory.

Backed by a national network and Vermeer brand strength, the role offers autonomy to manage your territory, with ongoing training, structured sales processes and a focus on achieving targets in construction sectors.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience in equipment, machinery or construction preferred.
• Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to grow market share.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with customers in your territory.
• Promote Vermeer construction whole goods, parts and service as complete solutions.
• Use company sales systems and tools to document and track sales activity.
• Drive sales volume, market share and customer satisfaction against targets.
• Build knowledge of Vermeer products, programs and industry trends.
• Coordinate field demonstrations and operate machinery at customer sites.
