Job Summary

The Technical Sales Coordinator supports Mood Media’s sales, technical solutions and project-delivery activities across Australia and New Zealand. This is a junior-to-mid-level, customer-facing coordination role for someone with an interest in audio, visual, lighting and technology-led customer experiences.

Working closely with Account Managers, Technical Operations, Project Coordination, installers, suppliers and clients, the Technical Sales Coordinator helps turn customer requirements into practical, commercially viable technical solutions. The role supports pre-sales activities including proposal preparation, site surveys, equipment selection, basic system design, costings and technical documentation, as well as post-sales coordination to support a smooth installation and handover experience.

The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware, technically curious and comfortable managing multiple priorities. They will help maintain high standards of customer service, project communication, documentation and technical accuracy across the ANZ market.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developing AV, technology, project coordination or technical-sales professional to build experience in commercial audio, digital signage, video, lighting and integrated customer-experience solutions.

  • Support the Account Management and Sales teams in responding to customer enquiries, tenders, requests for quotation and solution proposals across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Assist in understanding client requirements and translating them into clear technical scopes, solution options and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare quotations, proposal documents, product schedules, equipment lists, basic technical specifications and supporting sales materials.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate project costings, including equipment, installation, labour, freight, subcontractor and travel requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to obtain product information, pricing, lead times and availability.
  • Support the development of solution designs for commercial audio, video, digital signage, control and lighting projects, under the guidance of senior technical or sales colleagues.
  • Help maintain an up-to-date understanding of Mood Media’s products, services, approved equipment and solution capabilities.
  • Assist with client presentations, demonstrations and technical meetings where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve proposal quality, response times, technical accuracy and sales-support processes.
Site Surveys and Project Coordination
  • Assist with site surveys across Australia and New Zealand, including gathering site information, measurements, photographs, existing-system details and installation requirements.
  • Review plans, drawings and customer information to support accurate project scoping and solution development.
  • Prepare clear site-survey reports, project handover packs, installation instructions and documentation for internal teams and installation partners.
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators, Technical Operations and installers to ensure projects are handed over accurately from sales to delivery.
  • Support scheduling, logistics and coordination of equipment, installers, subcontractors and site access requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, identifying risks or changes in scope, and escalating issues to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of client communications, technical documentation, quotations, project updates and system information in relevant company systems.
  • Support post-installation follow-up, including documentation, customer queries, defect coordination and project close-out activities.
Client and Partner Support
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, Account Managers, suppliers, subcontractors and installation partners.
  • Provide timely, professional and practical responses to internal and external technical queries.
  • Support the coordination of subcontractors and service partners for installation, commissioning and maintenance activities as required.
  • Assist in ensuring that installation partners receive clear scopes of work, technical information, site requirements and project documentation.
