This position requires you to manage medium to large installation projects, lead the installation teams, and ensure the quality and efficiency of audiovisual system installations. The Senior Installation Technician is responsible for managing medium to large installation projects, leading installation teams, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of audiovisual system installations. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience, with the ability to work independently and liaise with other trades on-site to deliver high-quality installations.
The position is directly responsible to the Operations Coordinator and Program Manager for key accountabilities and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, particularly when managing installations involving heights, heavy equipment, or complex rigging.
Report any hazards or incidents in accordance with company procedures.
Extensive experience in managing medium to large installation projects and leading installation teams.
Proficiency in producing, reading, and interpreting block diagram and cabling drawings.
Advanced skills in cabling, cable termination, equipment mounting, and rigging.
Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in system fault finding and troubleshooting.
Experience in system commissioning and supporting commissioning processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other trades on-site to ensure project success.
Successful management and completion of medium to large installation projects.
High client satisfaction with the quality and reliability of installed systems.
Effective training and mentorship provided to junior staff, enhancing team capabilities.
Demonstrated experience in audiovisual installation and project management within the AV industry or a related field.
Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation, system commissioning, and installation management.
Strong leadership skills and experience in training junior staff.
Familiarity with AV drawing production, installation test plans, and base engineering of equipment mounting.
Experience in liaising with other trades and managing site coordination.
