Job summary

TriCab (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand market share in electrical cable solutions across Ipswich and designated QLD regions. This role focuses on technically driven sales, engaging with engineers, consultants, EPCs, and contractors to win specifications.

You will translate requirements into fit-for-purpose cable solutions, manage the full sales cycle from consult to close, and collaborate with engineering and production to deliver engineered outcomes.

Qualifications

• BDM/technical sales experience in electrical or industrial sectors.
• Understanding of cable types and basic electrical principles.
• Comfortable engaging engineers and consultants.
• Able to shift conversations from price to performance.
• Driven to open new opportunities and win specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and penetrate new markets across Ipswich and designated QLD regions (marine, mining, infrastructure, industrial).
• Engage with consultants, EPCs, contractors, and engineers at specification stage.
• Drive spec-in opportunities by influencing technical decisions early.
• Translate requirements into fit-for-purpose cable solutions.
• Manage full sales cycle from consultation to close.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
