Job summary

Milestone IT is seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a major technology transition program in a Melbourne-based retail environment. Technical Infrastructure Project Manager

Milestone IT is currently seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major retail organisation on a key technology transition program.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager with strong infrastructure and end-user technology experience to lead the execution of an established transition plan, supporting the migration of employees onto new corporate systems and services.

About the Role

You will take ownership of the delivery and coordination of a technical transition program, working across end-user devices, infrastructure, applications and support services.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end transition of employees onto new technology environments.
• Coordinating laptop setup, provisioning and deployment.
• Managing application access and user onboarding.
• Overseeing data migration activities.
• Coordinating mobile phone/device transitions.
• Managing mailbox and email migrations.
• Supporting the development and implementation of the ongoing support model and operational handover.
• Maintaining project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery tracking.
• Proactively managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Working closely with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Providing clear, concise and regular project updates to senior stakeholders, including the CIO and General Manager of Infrastructure.
• Getting into the detail when required and taking a hands-on approach to resolving delivery challenges.

About You

We are looking for a proven Technical Project Manager who haspreviously delivered similar infrastructure, end-user technology, migration or transition projects.

You will ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience delivering technical infrastructure and/or end-user technology projects.
• Previous experience managing technology transitions, migrations or integrations.
• Strong understanding of end-user computing, devices, applications, identity/access and infrastructure environments.
• Excellent project planning, risk and issue management skills.
• The ability to work across both strategic and detailed operational matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Confidence communicating project status, risks and issues to senior executives.
• A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
• The ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced transformation environment.
