Job summary

The Department of Communities and Justice NSW in Newcastle is seeking a Team Leader for Housing Services to lead a team delivering client-centred services to vulnerable community members, while driving high-quality outcomes and strong operational performance.

You will coach staff to achieve objectives, manage performance, and build positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring services meet policy and legislative requirements across the district.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading teams in a complex service delivery environment.
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and capability development.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable clients and communities.
• Proven ability to balance customer service delivery with operational priorities and performance targets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Sound decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a high-volume environment.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
