Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice in Lismore is seeking a Team Leader to oversee Housing Services, guiding a team to deliver client-centered outcomes and strong operational performance. The role focuses on balancing service excellence with meeting business objectives for vulnerable clients across the district.

You will lead, coach and support staff, monitor performance, manage complex client matters, and build stakeholder relationships while ensuring policy and legislative compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading teams in a complex service delivery environment.
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and capability development.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable clients and communities.
• Proven ability to balance customer service delivery with operational priorities and performance targets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Sound decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a high-volume environment.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
