Job summary

Goodstart North Mackay is seeking a Centre Director to lead and develop our 86‑place Goodstart Early Learning North Mackay centre. You will deliver the bespoke learning program, foster a high‑performing team, and drive attendance and centre revenue while ensuring smooth daily operations and outstanding family engagement.

You will guide your educators, build community relationships, and uphold the organisation’s child‑safety and learning standards as part of Australia’s largest not‑for‑profit

Qualifications

• ACEQA approved bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Experience leading and managing change within education or community services.
• Experience delivering integrated early childhood services in disadvantaged areas.
• Proven commercial and financial/operational performance management experience.

• Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals.
• Plan for the future of the centre, grow attendance and revenue.

• Deliver our bespoke learning program developed in collaboration with global leaders in pedagogical practice


• Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement


• Work with your team to plan for the future of your centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business


• Run smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while putting the children and team at the heart of everything we do


• Create memorable experiences by greeting every family with warmth and delivering high-quality tours and orientations

You’ll need

• An ACECQA approved bachelor's degree of Early Childhood Education or equivalent


• Current State relevant Working with Children's Check, Police Check


• Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services

• Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
