Job summary

Goodstart Moulden Temple Terrace in Darwin region is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead and support the centre team, driving high-quality early learning and care in alignment with the Goodstart Practice Guide.

You will mentor staff, support the Centre Director, oversee operations in their absence, engage families and the community, and contribute to continuous improvement across the centre.

• Experience in leadership roles within an early learning centre.
• Ability to mentor and develop centre team members.
• Capacity to manage the centre in the Centre Director’s absence.
• Commitment to the Goodstart Practice Guide.

Employment Type: Permanent.Full-time: Monday-Friday, rotating roster

Pay: $44.39-$45.67 p/h + Super

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Moulden - Temple Terrace you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks .

In this role, you will:

• Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
• Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
• Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
• Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

About Goodstart Moulden Temple Terrace

• 75 Place centre - 25 minutes from Darwin CBD and about 5 minutes from Palmerston Shopping Centre.
• Working with an experienced and knowledgeable Bachelor qualified Centre Director – to become Leadership ready! Ongoing mentorship and professional development
• Working on the floor in a float position, supporting the team
