Job summary

Goodstart Little Mountain – Mark Road West is seeking an Assistant Director to support centre operations and leadership. You will mentor educators, drive quality practices, and strengthen family relationships while promoting continuous improvement across the site.

You will work with a supportive leadership team, focusing on high-quality early learning and professional development opportunities within a Not-for-Profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in an early learning setting is essential.
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS is required for quality practice.
• Demonstrated mentoring and coaching abilities within a centre team.

About the role

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Little Mountain – Mark Road West, you'll work alongside our Centre Director to support the day-to-day operations of the centre while helping to build a positive, high-performing team culture.

You’ll use your leadership experience and passion for early learning to mentor educators, support quality practice, strengthen family relationships, and drive continuous improvement across the centre.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience as an Assistant Director, Centre Leader, Senior Educator, or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
• Current QLD Working with Children Check
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training via the Geccko platform
• Passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children, families, and teams
