Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning North Mackay is seeking a Centre Director to lead and develop a high-performing team in a busy North Mackay centre. You will guide educators, manage wrap-around operations, and drive a thriving, child-centred program.

You’ll deliver our learning program, foster a culture of reflective practice, and build strong relationships with families and the community. A qualification in Early Childhood and current checks are essential.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Current State Working with Children’s Check and Police Check.
• Experience leading and managing change within education, health or community services.
• Experience delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage.
• Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke learning program developed with global leaders in pedagogy.
• Build and lead a talented team of early learning professionals and foster reflective practice.
• Plan for the future of the centre, build attendance and maintain revenue generation.
• Run day-to-day operations smoothly, putting children and team first.
• Create memorable family experiences with warm welcomes and high-quality tours and orientations.

Pay: $58.38 - $71.79 per hour, based on qualification and experience

As a Centre Director at Goodstart, you’ll be at the heart of our leadership team, playing a pivotal role in supporting and developing the Teachers and Educators in your centre. You'll build strong, meaningful relationships with children, families, and communities, fully embracing the profound impact of your role in their lives.

In This Role, You Will

• Deliver our bespoke learning program developed in collaboration with global leaders in pedagogical practice
• Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement
• Work with your team to plan for the future of your centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business
• Run smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while putting the children and team at the heart of everything we do
• Create memorable experiences by greeting every family with warmth and delivering high-quality tours and orientations
