Job summary

Vincent Court in Kempsey, NSW, is seeking a part-time Support Service Worker to join our aged care home. You will handle catering, cleaning and laundry while building strong relationships with residents, families and staff, contributing to a comfortable home environment.

Ideal applicants have prior experience, strong communication skills, and a current NDIS check (or willingness to obtain). Training is provided, and we value a resident-first approach aligned with our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Aged Care highly desirable but not essential.
• NDIS Check current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, meals and drinks.
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Distribution of meals to residents and dining room services.
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility.
• Completing required documentation and reporting.
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished.
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking and labelling.

Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. Working Part-Time, you will build strong relationships with our residents, families and Care Staff contributing the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident's quality of life.
